Chicken Pox Vaccinations
Varicella, better known as chicken pox, is a viral disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus. Chicken pox can be very uncomfortable and can in rare cases cause serious complications in newborn babies, toddlers, children and adults who have not been vaccinated, nor contracted the disease as a child. We offer a Chicken Pox vaccination, as this is not currently available through the NHS. The Chicken Pox vaccination can be given to anyone aged 1 and over, although it is not advised in pregnancy or 3 months prior to becoming pregnant.
