Protecting your child from Meningitis B with Bexsero
Why should I vaccinate my child against Meningitis B?
Meningitis B is the leading infectious killer of young children in the UK
Meningitis is a life threatening infection which even if survived can lead to very serious complications including loss of limbs, epilepsy and brain damage
What happens if my child is older than 2 months at the time of the roll out?
There is a planned 'catch up' program for babies aged 3 and 4 months at the time of roll out but If your child is older than 4 months at the time of the roll out they will not be included in the vaccination program and so will not benefit from the protection offered.
How much protection does Bexsero give my child?
The vaccine, Bexsero, is thought to provide 73% protection against meningitis B.
Is Bexsero available privately?
